can i run both of my amps on the same 1/0 kit?

That wire is no bigger than your average 4gauge. It just has a thick outter sleeve. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif You should be ok with some good name brand 1/0 and the distribution block though..

so are all wires the same thickness on the inside?

how do you know?

The "gauge" or "awg" is a standardized measurement of wire diameter. Some companies use less wire, more coating...basically ripping you off. Do your research on quality wire and know what you are buying before your purchase.

well i was told tsunami was a reputable brand and reliable. but i could be wrong. any one ever try it?

I'm pretty sure that was the brand wire that I had... I could be mistaken!(if so, I'm sorry) Maybe someone else can tell us if its good wire.
im pretty new at this so i have no experience. i thought it would be useful for me, but now im doubtful

Like I said, could be wrong on the Tsunami wire being bad. Check out KNukonceptz wiring kits.. they are a very reputable brand that everyone recommends. Also you can use "welding cable" which can sometimes be cheaper than a wiring kit if you dont need fuse holders and all the extras...

Wait, I just realized you were refering to running 2 1200 watt amps! I thought you meant a KX1200 and a 2channel. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif YOU WILL NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM!!

knu is a little pricey but THIS kit will take care of your wiring needs.
but as i have told you in other threads, if you try to run both of thse amps on a factory electrical system your very likely going to destroy something.
which brings me to my next question. the guy at the shop said i would be fine with one extra battery. yes/no?

Better of with Knu instead of the tsunami. The Knu kit you linked is their KCA wire. It's copper-clad aluminum rather than oxygen free copper. Not terrible, but it is less capable of handling current than the copper is. For the power you're looking to run, get their copper wire. The link Phoenix gave you above.
