iPod A/V Problems.

My HU doesn't have built in iPod controls so I've been trying to use A/V cables with the USB to charge it but I keep having problems. The first set was a cheap 3 dollar pair I got off amazon and it worked great for charging but I got crazy static through it, so then I decided to buy a decent pair of Rocket Fish one and those ones will not charge through the USB on my stereo and I get crazy alternator whine through them, can anyone help me find a good pair that will charge through my USB and help me get them to sound right?

I brought mine from this site on eBay. I have not had any issues. I started getting issues after a firmware update and using the OEM cord, but switched. You can buy multiple ones for cheap. So if you have problems just check swap it out with another one. Never had static though; I only had the no charging error. Clean the input on your ipod and get some new cables.

I don't have an iPod interface so I've been using one of these.

Rocketfish™ - Composite A/V Cable for Apple® iPod® - RF-IPCAU6W

and I get alternator whine through it and it won't charge though my HU's USB. The last one charged through the USB but had static. Should I just buy the apple version?
