BIG QUESTION: DOES AN AVERAGE AMP HAVE GAIN CONTROLS TO GIVE DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF POWER TO DIFFERENT CHANNELS: COULD I RUN A 4 x 200 amp at 2 x 150 and 2 x 200?????
SO, I've been thinking mostly about a 4 amp active setup, and, I've come to a conclusion: it's expensive! I'd like to limit it then, to a 2 amp system, but my speakers are bought and not negotiable so this two amp system requires some extra thought>>>I've been thinking that I could use a jl 450/4, which seems just right to power my 4" and 6.5" component sets. Then, I could power my re xxx 6.5s and a sub with a maybe 200 x 4 @ 2 ohm amp. My only problem, then, is that my sub really needs the 400watts and the 6.5s can probably handle that, but I don't want to force them to, so I'm wondering if most subs have a gain control for separate channels>>>
