CAN I RUN A 4 x 200 amp @ 2 x 150 & 2 x 200

BIG QUESTION: DOES AN AVERAGE AMP HAVE GAIN CONTROLS TO GIVE DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF POWER TO DIFFERENT CHANNELS: COULD I RUN A 4 x 200 amp at 2 x 150 and 2 x 200?????

SO, I've been thinking mostly about a 4 amp active setup, and, I've come to a conclusion: it's expensive! I'd like to limit it then, to a 2 amp system, but my speakers are bought and not negotiable so this two amp system requires some extra thought>>>I've been thinking that I could use a jl 450/4, which seems just right to power my 4" and 6.5" component sets. Then, I could power my re xxx 6.5s and a sub with a maybe 200 x 4 @ 2 ohm amp. My only problem, then, is that my sub really needs the 400watts and the 6.5s can probably handle that, but I don't want to force them to, so I'm wondering if most subs have a gain control for separate channels>>>

Most amps should have a seperate gain control as well as whatever other filters/controls they offer for both channels 1/2 and channels 3/4

QUESTION: What is the ideal arrangement for sub wiring if I'm running it (or them) off of the same amp as my 2 x150 @ 2 ohms each re's? I can bridge the amp and run the re's in series at 4 ohm and run a sub at 4 ohm etc...How would you wire it?

No, not 3 components. I'm running a 4" cdt component set, and a 6.5' cdt set (gold es) then, I'm running the re xxx 6.5 woofers...no crossovers, no tweeters, I'll cross these at the H.U (eclipse 8455) and at the amp. Sound good? Oh, and I'm running the second set of tweeters for the two up front component sets on the special "image tweeter" input, which basically drops the response by, I think, 5db. So? the jl 450/4 and another amp set up to give 150x2 and 200x2 @ 2 ohms... then again, I could bridge both of the amp outputs (1/2 & 3/4) and then run my re's in series at 4 ohm and a sub at 4 ohm, if I decided on a 4 ohm sub. Otherwise, I'll kind of have to go with two 2 ohm subs. Right?

oh! and I'm thinking that to stay as economical as possible that I'll just crossover the output from the eclipse 8455 to low pass at 3khz... Then, I could use the crossovers on the amp to put a high pass at 80hz or so for the 6.5s and then put a low pass on the sub channel at 200hz. How do you think that will work? Got a better solution?
