Not that it is a mistake I would make now....

When I first ventured beyond a vehicle's factory audio gear it never occurred to me to do anything other than connect speakers to the head unit.

After attaching 16 or more speakers of all different VC configurations and dropping who knows how low of an Ohm load on a Coustic head unit it naturally burned up. *Poof!* Magic audio smoke.

If you've never seen a monoblock amp or see someone bridge a 2 channel to drive a single sub, or be enough of a novice that the concept of 2500 watts into a single speaker is mind-boggling asking this might have made perfect sense to you.
