Im running the elates passively right now with a Morel mx-22 crossover using a Pioneer GM-D9500F (bridged 200x2), is it even worth going active? If so, any recommendations on an amp to power them?

Depends in your budget They start around $250 new and go up from there the grind zero amps for sale in here are nice. So are audison zapco. Arc audio. Zuki and many others

What sort of power should i be looking for? (in terms of a 4 channel amp)

Im currently looking at a RF P400-4 or an Alpine PDX 4.100. Those are more in my budget, is 100x4 a nice amount of power for an active setup? Or would be under powering the elates (rated for 180rms) be a bad thing?

They would be fine power wise. But not sure are active capable

ppi 900.4 is a pretty good option and cheap and a favorite of many.

im running the IA3.4s in a 3-way active setup and they are working great for me
