can a cap hurt my system?

ok, i know most ppl on here are against capactiors for caraudio systems and say not to buy them cuz they are a waste of money, well i already have one so i dont need to hear more about how pointless theyare, my question is, will it draw more power than neseccary from my system? i find it makes my lights not dim as much, but i just got a yellow top battery and am about to get a new 200amp alternator so i wuz just wondering if my lights STILL dim could it b from the cap?

well with a 200 amp alt ur lights should not dim so u wouldnt need the cap, if ur lights do dim with the 200 amp alt ur electrical system is messed up or u got one big a** amp
