You think anyone here is selling a jbl amp in a thread???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

that amp will work with them just be VERY careful with the gain. jbl's are known for being black belt master's of the clipping. i would say ditch the cap though IMHO.

yeah post in the for sale forum my man. i know for a fact someone is he's selling it with his 12w7 but will sell the amp by itself. i say if you have 675 get the package jl 12w7 with 1.75cuft ported box and jbl 1200.1 all for 675 it's a good deal.

Sorry- didn't mean 2 go over your head there

CATALOG # 14F1562 = a number in a catalog used in reference to item

7000 VDC =seven thousand volts direct current

230 MF =The farad (symbolized F) is the standard unit of capacitance in the International System of Units (SI). Reduced to base SI units, one farad is the equivalent of one second to the fourth power ampere squared per kilogram per meter squared (s4 · A2 · kg-1 · m-

2).When the voltage across a 1 F capacitor changes at a rate of one volt per second (1 V/s), a current flow of 1 A results. A capacitance of 1 F produces 1 V of potential difference for an electric charge of one coulomb (1 C). The farad is an extremely large unit of capacitance. In practice, capacitors with values this large are almost never seen.

25.5 " high X 13.5" wide X 5.5" deep= standard measurements (12 inches = 1 ft.)

Weighs in at 100 pounds= again standard American measurement (16 ozs= 1 lb)

200 dollars= $200.00 standard American currency

In other words this is one BIG cap.

If I could draw... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

In all honesty, I would steer clear of the JBL 1200.1 amp.

I used to be a big advocate for these amps, until recently. Way too many problems with my own 1200.1, and numerous other issues with several friends JBL's.

Primarily issues with noise introduced into the system by the amp, continuous failing of some of the amplifier internals. - Grounds primarily, but also a good deal more.

I have always felt that the low pass filter on these amps was a joke to begin with. IMO- very difficult to tune, and it can not be defeated to allow an alternate crossover to handle things.

On the up side- they do put out the power they are rated at, dont look half bad, and have an ok bang for the buck factor.

Overall- I would still highly reccomend an alternate choice to the JBL Amps......

The cap issue, well, I'll put it this way. Its hurting more than its helping. I believe we have had numerous discussions on this forum and others that more that support this.

Loose the cap.

take it easy,

-zane
