Calling all ACCORD OWNERS!

i always used a cut wire coat hanger. bend the tip and tape the wire. push it through. some grommets require a little trimming to get through with the bigger gauges.

I know you already found it but I always find it easier when looking for the gromment if one is exisits is to work from the inside out...pull the carpet back and take a look....much easier than going from the engine compartment because you can see anything with the engine and lines in the way...yeah I've got a 93 ex and I lovvve it going to be sad when it dies...

Take good care of her and she will run forever. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Unless you have a 6th gen automatic, in which case, she'll run forever, but you'll be replacing the ****** every 2-3 years regardless of how you drive it.
Yeah I've heard about the transmission issues, Honda still hasn't straightened out that problem. Luckily I have the 5-speed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Post pics of your cars guys...I'm new to Honda and I'm curious to see what other people have done...

I'm having a hell of a time guys, I found the grommet everyone is talking about but I can't get shit to go through it. I can get about a foot into it, before I run into something. I've used a screw driver, coat hanger, etc.

Any suggestions?

try to push the coat hanger through from the inside out into the engine bay , then tape your wire and pull back through. youll have to pull more wire through that way , but sometimes its the only way without taking everything apart.

btw, what was up with the accord trannys? my girl has an 01 auto, is it something i should be on the lookout for?

Yeah, keep an eye out on the ******. Honda is still having issues with them.

I can't find where the hole goes to inside the interior...that's the main problem. If I could find the hole while under the dash, I'm sure I could manage to get the wire through....

pull the grommet out...stick a flashlight in there...go around to the other side and look for light.

Tried it. No luck.

well on the side note, my ****** tends to slip a bit, gets on my nerves quite a bit, but it doesnt bother my driveability. I keep synthetic in the ******, jus changed it at 120k over the weekend

my girls does also. not bad at all but noticable sometimes. and it shifts hard when under hard acceleration.

iirc , i snipped a bit of that grommet and taped the wire in there. worked great for me.
