Calling all ACCORD OWNERS!

I have a 2001 Accord coupe, and I'm having a hard time finding a place to run the 4-guage power wire through the firewall.

Anyone out there have any pics of their install, or could maybe give me a few tips on where to run the power wire through?

threw the wire gromet.. that's got to be one of the easyiest cars....

Isn't the grommet on the driver's side on or near the master cylinder for the brakes? Upper part of the firewall, you feed it into the car from the engine compartment.

Hmm, I'll have to take a look. I've mainly been focusing on the passenger side, seeing as that's where my battery is located.

if u have an automatic, take off the clutch plate and go through that, sh*t, if u do that, run 0ga

if you wnna go down the pass side of the car there's a gromet below the heater core...

and as far as drivers side there is a gromet next to the brake boooooster

I have the same car and same wire, i Believe there is a rubber surround on the drivers side right above the steering fluid compartment, thats the whole my installer ran the wire for my alarm, I was able to use a smaller wire through first like 8 or 10 gauge, then pushed the 4 guage through the same path and it came through fine, right through the area above the fusebox under the steering wheel. If I get home and its still daylight left i will get some pics and can email you them

I ran the wire from the battery on the pass side above the engine over to the drivers side, and then to the back where the subs are located. There no real place to put it on the pass side, unless you plan on drilling a whole and putting a grommet in the firewall to prevent the wire from being cut. It only takes about 3 extra feet to run it from the pass side to the drivers side give or take a foot

Yeah there is no doubt, Accords are the sh!t. I drive this thing like I stole it and still manage to average about 23-26 mpg, all city driving.

i remember trying to find a grommet to go through on my girls 01 accord. i used the one on the driver side by the master cylinder.

i found a hole on driver side like everyone else is saying. there was a hole there where they ran for my alarm and i just threaded the 4 gauge through it. i have a 94

Yep, thats where I ran mine when I had my Accord. I stuck a really long screw driver through an empty space in the gromet, then fed the wire through. Pain in the *** but its worth it.
