cactus 7k daily OP.

i need to know about the quality with which it plays on music, is it comparable to other amps like the sundowns or rds?
cooling is a problem that is easily overcome.
from reading reviews on Termpro.. It plays music just fine.

I think someone mentioned at a tiny footprint over-heating might be a factor
Thats B.S.

If thats the case, then Sounddigital should be worse off, because they have an ever smaller footprint.?? Thats certainly not true, guys run SD for daily without any problems

But dude, dont believe everything u hear. The stetsoms will play all day long for music. Guys in brazil beat these amps out for the entire day in the sun.Stephen Footz was the first guy to have stetsom in the US. He ran 4 first gen 7kd's @ .25 ohm daily for 3 years, without any problems with them

There are alot of users who have been happy with the stetsoms for daily use. As Chris said, most of the damage for these amps were caused by abuse. Certain people tried to modify the amps by bypassing the internal fuses and low voltage protection to eek out a few more watts.

Dtbrown could probably give u a better view on how good these amps are for daily. Tnt sounds u could probably consider the 4k2d. Its rated 4200rms @ 12.5 volts @ 2ohms and 5300 rms@ 13.6 volts. And guess what? its only 14" long.

I know right... But seriously I just don't think it would really make that much more power than the 40.1, but like I said there is a local guy, he's got some RD subs, he has a world record for a couple years, kudo's on the subs to RD, he was running db drive amps but switched to RD amps recently and I think he is down in score but I think he's on a new build too, so it may take some tedius tuning of the vehicle and enclosure to get it back where it should be (this is what I heard anyway). I think he's running the D9's now. I am sure RD knows who I am talking about and probably is gonna tell me I am wrong, but if not then I may run up there at some point and see if he will let me clamp it, but he probably won't, the guy usually won't let anyone get near it, period. **** comp guys and their secrecy bullshit, Hmmmm... suspicious maybe... but anyway, if it does do that much more power for real, then awesome, but I just don't believe that until I see it for myself with my own clamp. Oh, and RD. Kudo's too on adding the fins to the heatsinks. I think I worked on a couple RD's for people a while back, they were just like flat heatsinks, no fins, really light, was like a "hot plate". I am sure the fins help especially when the amps are really getting it at .5 ohm and all, heat is the enemy.

If you are talking about Jimbo he is up .5 db in testing even though he is falling down a few more volts then he was before. But he has the d5's. once he gets more batteries im pretty sure he will be up a couple db.

Another guy who actually did a direct drop in was Sanman. With three hw 15 and three 40.1's he was at a 162 and with the swap he went up to a 164.1 nothing else changed but the amps. the 164.1 took a championship in his class. Now sanman has six d9s on three hw 15" @ 16v

i just wanted cinfirmation on quality, becasue i wouldbe the first to have stetsom amps in my country, i will be running 2 7k2ds on 2 15s.

I met a guy who gave me his review on the amps out of brazil and he said they would fail for music. I didnt believe him upfront so i just wanted confirmation from u guys.
