So with 4 40.1s you dont feel you have enough power? Is that what i am understanding and your looking for 7k amps to replace them? Maybe you could build a more efficient box or go to a 18v power supply and really get the power out of those amps, just other options for ya as I dont see you really finding a solution.

I was looking for an alternative to not having to run all 4 40.1s at .5ohm each. Was looking to run just 2 big amps since I already have dual 12v alternators and 7 DataSafe Hf500 batteries.

Since chris said he wouldn't touch them. I wouldn't feel to comfortable running them. I run DD subs. But no amps for me.

Maybe if you pay half?

Why are you looking for 40.1s if you can get good deals through Stetsom?

You could look into some Stetsoms. 4 x 40.1's has GOT to be brutal already. I cannot imagine why you would want more power than that. Good lord... Like I asked another guy today "are you deaf?" but he came back and told me it's for 159.9 bass race and I was like "oh" that's why you need almost 20,000 watts on music.... geezz man... I would think 4 40.1's could almost do "the brown note" already. Especially if you have decent electrical and running them on .5 ohms....

Maybe the guy was right who said you should look into a more efficient sub enclosure/setup rather than needing more power. 4 x 40.1's should do close to 20,000 watts @ .5 ohm and GOOD electrical. What is your sub setup like? Got pics?
