yeah guys my doors are already completely deadened, nicely sealed etc.....azbass did the initial install with the components that are in there now....

there was a 3" speaker where my tweeters now reside up on the dash, not a 3" depth for mids....

i also have more MDT-12 tweeters i was going to run active with ID OEM mids, crossover point 2600 at 24 db/octave for tweets and 1600 at 12 db/octave for the mids gives you an xover point of about 2350hz where the tweeter is about 5-6 db down and the mid is almost 6 db down summing very close to [theoretical] flat response.

this is just done by paper, not in actual testing.

im selling the mdt-12's (also bnib) for 55 shipped

hmmm alright well ive read the reviews on the mids....sound like i would be impressed by them...im even reading about some people crossing them at 50htz.....any links to a review of that tweeter and you might have a deal.

could you hang onto that stuff for a day or two...i may have a deal pending with my speakers and amp....

next question is....what 4 channel to get....apparently those mids can take up to 150 watts

I had rainbow slc mids and had'em crosssed at 40hz for a while they sounded great. Only the kick version of the rainbows requires the 80hz xover.

I would honsetly just get a 4 channel amp and run those rainbows active, you will open up the mid quite a bit and be able to use some slope/crossover adjustments to make'em REALLY pound. Doubt you'll be much happier with a set you pieced together....

I've had dayton reference 7" and some dayton da175's also some pioneer rev midbass's the pioneers play down REALLY low and have good authority, but those and the references were a bit peaky around 1200-1400 hz. The DA175's play VERY low and are quite cheap, I loved them when I had them in and will be doing a setup using them again very soon.
