i need to chat with someone about piecing together my first DIY active front stage...

I dont feel like signing up over at DIYMA forum

so anyone here who runs a DIY active front stage please post

i have an 880prs

budget will be around $600

this needs to cover drivers and a 4 channel

mids have to be 6.5's and tweets i can fit anything up to 3"

looking for impressive midbass, more so than what i currently have, tweeters i wouldnt mind moving away from the metal but i still need them to get plenty loud and sound crisp doing so.

I have the 880

I have the cal 27 tweets and hertz space 8s.

With $600, I'd go with the Scan mids and Cal27 tweeter.

May be a little bit over budget, but meh

At that price, you may be better off getting a nice component set and ditching the passives. You can scoop up the new Alpine Type X Pros for under $400 a few different places online, which are basically the ScanSpeak mids and tweets. That leaves you a little over $200 for a nice 4 channel and the xovers if you ever decide to sell the speakers... there is usually a bigger market for resale than with active separates.
