nah man....cl only did one track with pete on this cd... i dont know what happened, but that duo was so sweet, its like they were made for each other.

indeed. i llike rap because of the awesome use of wordplay and the unique style of composing to make the beats. cant say much on either of those terms on the radio, but hip-hop is like any other genre of music. gotta siphon out the gallons of crap to get to the good stuff.

but rap arose as an outcry by a suppressed people. (iirc) thats why i hate asian rappers. not a single good one in the bunch, and thier lyrics have no feeling in them, because they havent experienced the hardships they rap about.

Rap is pretty much a dying genre. There aren't enough intelligent hip hop fans out there to bring the good stuff into the mainstream. Even the underground stuff, although it has some intelligence, in itself tends to get repetitive after a while. How many times can your hear about the hardships of the ghetto or being oppressed as a black person in America.

Speaking of Asian rappers. There is one cool group from Japan called Nujabes. They have some of the most unique beats I have heard in a long time. Real mellow stuff though.

indeed. ever since watching samurai champloo, i was hooked on thier beats along with Force of Nature, and Fat Jon. but they arent rappers lol. If you havent watched samurai champloo yet, watch it NOW. samurai/hip-hop fusion is really cool man. they have an entire episode on tagging! the true spirit of tagging, not the what the stoopid toys do.

I actually have the Samurai Champloo soundtrack. It is an excellent cd to relax to.
