bypassing the stock amp

i have a cobalt ss (2.0 L supercharged) and i cant get my aftermarket sub to play, has anybody sucessfully installed an aftermarket amp in a 07 cobalt SS/SC.

could be MANY reasons.....first are u usin the factory head unit?

need more info. Are you using an aftermarket HU? Otherwise you need an output converter for the stock Hu and just wire it up by going from the battery to the amp. Fused near the battery of course.

use a hilo converter is the easiest way. **** bypassing

edit; high to low converter

You should be able to grab the signal from the speakers on the back deck....real easy. And I believe the battery is in the trunk, remote wire is brown on the right side of the center console under the stereo...its in connector 'C' I believe.

No need to bypass amp...
