buzz from subs

my friend just installed a bandpass box with 2 12" Dual subs in his 98 talon. He used a high level input on the amp and its wired into the front door speakers. The subs make a buzzing sound when there is no music playing. Its pronounced when the door is open and he said it does it when he shuts the rear hatch. Thats all the info I have on it right now...any ideas what the problem could be?

Interference! and lots of it. Don't use high level inputs to an amp, it angers the car audio gods. Get an adapter.
