BUrban Type R box.

I'm picking up an Orion 1200d amp and 2 type R 12's soon for my burban because she is getting lonely. I have plenty of room in the back So i'm thinking of building a 7-8 foot ported enclosure tuned to 34-35 hertz for some everyday SPL fun. I am just wondering what are some drawbacks to this and i will be running the amp at 1/2 ohm but it will go up with imp rise.

do you meet 7-8 cubic feet? is that internal? that is way too big for 2 12's. i would only do 5-6 cubes net maximum for a daily driver.

Yea i meant 7-8 cubes, You think its too much? well you have more experience than I do I was just throwing out and idea since I won't have the giant power the R's supposedly need to get loud.

Kind of on a budget unless someone has some cheap ones floating around.( I could just wait until the hype goes away and everyone is getting rid of em). but then I would want at least a 2500d to power them.

I've read of this spkrman, but he doesn't have a pig getting action in his sig so you must be the real expert.

for the a pair of SWR-1222D, i would go with a 3.437cu ft @27.17Hz for SQ, or 4.5cu ft @32Hz for SQL.
