Buning smell inside car!!!

I run a 12" diamond d9 tdx in a ported box. 2.2 cf tuned to 30hz on a nine.1 at 1 ohm 1200 rms and i recently took it out of the box and added more bracing using lots of gorilla glue. I reinstall my sub in my car today and i have like a wierd plastic burning smell. Its not coming from the amp and i think its either the voicecoil or the glue, but how could it be the glue if it dried already ? I dont think its the voicecoil because it dint do that before the bracing. I'm lost trying to figure this one out. I hope its not sumthin else that is important.

it may be the smell of the glue blowing out the port. but check the wireing for teh subs just to be on the safe side...

When I burnt my voice coil it smelled like burning clutch to me.

Do you live near a bakery? That would make it smell like buning.

its just the air blowing the glue smell outta the port.

It will eventually go away w/ a little time.

How old are your tdx's and are you slamming it harder now than you did before. I think that its the glue that's used on the voice coil and spider. Mine smelled untill they were broken in. I actually met a guy that would slam his tdx's and clip them till smoke was coming out of ports and they just kept rocking. The next time you smell it for a while turn down your volume and go see if the dustcaps are hot.

my sub is inverted, i dont usually slam it hard, even at low volumes i can still smell it.

looks like it mite be the gorrila glue in the box, i'll see tomrow if it still smells
