alright.... so about 5 months ago i bought my subs from this guy. i paid $600 for my 2 18" re mt's... those blew in less than 2 weeks ( and not from my 3000 w rms alphasonik) ... he said he would recone them for free for me since the damage to the subs were done by him. ui waited about 4 months. never got those recones... so i spent $290 to get a pair of recones shipped to my house and put them on... Saying that I was supposed to buy his autotek but never paid since he never paid for my recones. just now he went to jail and needs money for bail so he wants me to pay $600 for his amp... not a bad deal but i can get a brand new one for $700 online...plus since he said he would pay for the recones and never did he should owe me $300. so i should have to pay $300 for his amp max !!! or he can have it back and give me $300.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

soo shorter story

1. blew my subs and he never got me my recones

2. wants me to pay almost as much as it cost to get a new mm4000 as his used one.

3. and he wont lower the price even though he said he would buy me my recones.

I don't see how it's possible that he blew the subs when you were using them, but if he owned up to it than I guess it's on him. But if the dude is going to jail, what is he going to do with the money? Ummm judge, can I have internet access so I can get bail money on ca.com?

well 1. i actually did stop talking to him. but my bestfriend is dateing his little sister and she talks to him ( guy i bought my subs from ) and tells my friend to tell me... but other than that i actually havent actually spoken to the as* in about 3 months...

and i may have blown the subs but he was the one who got them to the point where it was easy enough to blow. when i bought them 1 of the subs coils were turning black already...after i took the old cones off the inside was srapped to hell from being clipped... probably from running it too hard or the fact he had 1 of them in a 2. cubic ft sealed box at full tilt... either way it wasnt due to me that they blew.

uh yea. i still have the amp because he still owes me $300 or take $300 off the price of his amp....I dont know about you but if im getting F*cked in a situation cuz of someone else, then that person is too... expecially when it wasnt my fault... he is lucky because i was going to pay $600 for the amp even though i could have spent an extra 100 and got the brand new one, but i knew he needed money so i was going to help out....

You're crazy if you pay that much for the amp unless it's something like a sundown that has a good resale. Still I like to get my used audio for no more than a third of new cost. Your subs are a good example of why.

Second. He is the one hurting for money not you. That is where good deals come from. Just keep lowballing till he takes it.

exactly.. i was being very generous about that amp at first. until the subs blew. ( which he wired up in my car i must add ) so i think im being very reasonable saying ill give him $300 for the amp since i payed for the recones he promised me 5 months ago !

Well should've, would've, could've, got the sale and whatever in WRITING with Sig. You knew about the black coils right? So, it was an as-is purchase. As for the amp........tell him what you said about the 300 and tell him your keeping the amp and you'll put $300 on his books in jail. Oh, of course you have to visit him on visiting day through glass and tell what YOU'RE going to do. Good luck with everything
