Building Vented Box/Tuning

I'm kind of new to this but i've been researching it a lot in the last week. I'm going to be building a box for a MTX Thunder 9500 series, T9510-44. Thats a 10 in. with dual voice coils. MTX's box's they reccomend are here http://www.mtxaudio.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/TechData_T9510-44.pdf . I have been messing around in WinISD for a couple of days now but I can't figure out the ports and tuning. I am going to be powering this sub with an 800 watt amp without a subsonic filter. I will mostly be listening to rap. My question to anyone that can help me is,

What frequency should I tune this to, and how? any personal input is welcome.

Any idea's for a box better than MTX's suggestion?

Please help, I'm new to this tuning stuff.

If your going to only listen to rap tune to around 35-37, thats what i always tune my boxes since i only listen to rap.

Also, some say that the 9500 series will perform incredibly in a SnailShell, some say that its just as much as having 2 subs instead of one, might wanna go read some more over at powered4sound.com

How exactly do you figure out what size to build your box to when you figure out what you want to tune it to?

Also, I'm not 100% sure if I understand vent length.

Right now my box size is 13.5 in. x 22 in. x 14.67 in. and for the vents I have 1 vent that is 2 x 12. it then says vent length 30.57 in. what exactly does that mean?

the box volume is 1.45 ft^3 and tuned at 35 hz.

why wont you pay someone via paypal (under $10) to design your box for you? it will give you like a blueprint for your box.
