building up my system... tips?

ok, i finally got off my lazy *** and got myself a job. i decided i want a GOOD system that wont cost thousands of dollars. i've done research and figured out what is good and what is not. so far with my first check i bought myself two 12" audioque sd2.5s. after readind about them, it seems like i made a good chioce on subs. today i ordered a refurbished kicker kx1200. after researching amps, they seem to be great amps. next will be 6.5 comps and an amp for the comps, then an amp wiring kit, box, etc. considering this is my first system, i want this to be the best quality possible for a somewhat average budget i guess... is there anything else in particular i should get? or any tips, advice, criticism? anything about getting the best out of my install? particular size fuse or anything small yet important i should be targeting? like i said, i want this to be top notch within a reasonable budget. thanks alot guys.

definitely not. i dont know anything about box building OR installs. i wouldn't trust myself. like i said, i want this to be quality.

lol, be prepared to spend your money then, if you gonna have somone do it for you

If you aren't going to be able to install your own products be prepared to pay a little since most shops charge more if you bring products in that they don't carry.

If you most have a shop do it, see if you can't research some shops in your local area or ask some people who live around you what they think about certain shops.

well my sister's boyfriend is an electrician and he's been into car audio for years and he said he would do it for like 50 bucks. so that's not bad at all. does anyone have any tips of anything else i should get or would need for my system?

hu, amps speakers and sub box and wires, that all there is.

to put it all in a car and make it work and sound good takes experience, if you dont have the experience you will have to pay someone who does.

a regular car audio store would charge about $450 to install all your stuff and make it work.

a friend may do it for half that.
