Building Sealed Enclosure Have Q's...

Hey guys, building a box for my Polk/MOMO 10's. I have gotten the desing down, but not sure how to determine what the tuning frequency of the enclosure will be?

Any ideas?

26.75" W x 12" H x 11.25" D= 1.5cu-ft

Polk reccommend .66 for SQ, but after doing some research I figured to get a little more on the SPL side I'd go with a bigger enclosure.

.66 per side is tuned to 35Hz according to Polk.

Any clue asto what my design would be tuned to?

sealed enclosures don't really have a tuning frequency....

they have an f3 and a peak frequency. but not a tuned frequency.

Not sure what an f3 is? Is the peak frequency the lowest possible output?

peak frequency is what frequency the box would be loudest at.

f3 is the point where the box has a -3 db output

ic. Thanks for the input. I was told that the bigger enclosure wouldn't be as power efficient. I've got well-over the RMS going into each sub, do you think it will be that big of a deal?

In general, and to a certain extent... a larger enclosure will need less power.

If you have a pair of 10's, I'd recommend 1.2-1.5cubes NET internal volume.
