when you are building a ported box, i here all this about tuning it, and i am sad to say i dont know what tuning a box means, or how to do it. anybody wanna explain this too me?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

when u tune a box. u tune it for optimum cabin frequency. to tune a box properly u need to know the specs or teil small peramiters of the sub. to tune a box, u vary the lenght of the port.

no, your not retarted, your a noob, u should be asken as many questios that u can think off. u should be readin info on this shit if your interesteed

And other than the BL of a sub....TS parameters are a waste of time as they do not account for cabin gain. They do however give you a "basic" idea for a starting point.

The tuning of a box is the frequency that the port resonates at, or in other words where you get the most output from the backwave.

As inhuman said, it is determined by the cross sectional area of the port and the port lenth.
