Can I combine Compression drivers like these:

With these lenses:

To produce cheap horns that I could use? It seems to make sense to me I've just never heard it suggested or anything so I may be missing something. Is it hard to do?

Yes, you could build your own horns using certain compression drivers from PE. For example, the Radion 450PB is the compression driver used on the Illusion CH1 horns.

However, you can not use those horn lenses from PE in a car. For example; Ever notice how car audio horns are flared towards the middle of the car? There's a very specific reason for that; so they direct part of their energy/dispersion towards the opposite side of the vehicle/opposite listener. Using those horn lenses from PE would result in very very poor staging and imaging, and generally poor sound in a vehicle.

But, you could purchase a compression driver and a car audio horn body from Image Dynamics or find a used one and DIY your own horn.
