building my 2nd box, need help

Im looking to build a new box for my T1 12". I have a 3.5 cu ft @ 32 Hz according to the box plans in this forum. I want to build a new box according to the specs but tuned lower then the spec. The specs call for 3.12 cu ft @ 40 Hz ( Gross) or 2.25 cu ft @ 40 Hz ( Net). Im looking to have the sub inverted, so should i be building my box 2.25 cu ft tuned to whatever Hz i want or do i have to consider anything else? And being that i will be tuning it lower then spec, should i make the box larger or smaller or should i leave it at the recommended spec? Thanks in advance!

why are you inverting the sub?

thats funny your right down the road from me...and im building a box today...but its like number 10

oh well NET would be displacement after the port...sub etc...so if your going to invert it just make sure you put back in what you subtracted as driver displacement

I like the look of an inverted sub. Is there and pros or cons to having it inverted?

nope, just looks, and it gives you a tiny bit more cubic feet, but not much.
