I am building and enclosure and this is most likely a stupid question to everyone but i am dumb and confused by everything,, i dont know what they are called but they are the black square or circlular plastic things that are like 3 inches big and have the black and red tiny things on them, my question is what are those and do i need them to install my subs i ordered or is it possible to not have it and just have someone wire it directly? any feedback is very appreciated

and if i do need them how many to i need for two subs

those are terminal cups. you install them in the box-one side goes to the sub(s) the other is a quick disconnect that lets you take the wire from the amp off real quick. the red "tiny thing" is postive, the black "tiny thing" is negative. depending on how you wire it, you need on or two. just get 2 to be safe. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=269-954

and yes you can wire it up directly, but it cleans up the install, and makes it alot easier to take out the box, if need be. there a buck, so you might as well

if you just drill a hole in the box you can run the wire straight out, but you will need to caulk it up to make shure its sealed well

you can use bolts too but i have not tried it
