Building an effiecient spl box

i need some Tips on building an efficient spl box i know my current box isnt efficient enough although i have hit a 147.8 on a TL it doesnt satisfy me im lookin at 150 like no other its been almost a year since i have set out on 150 and no go so now im asking for help.

please give me tip/ideas on building an efficeint spl enclosure.

true, My car peaks @ 40hz even with 55hz tuning. tuning higher may or may not improve numbers depending on the vehicle, also play with port area as opposed to box size.

i did 150+ in my jetta (trunk car) with my 2 cvx 12's on a kx2500.1 @ 1 ohm tuned at 63hz, box was 2.25^3 with (2) 4 in aero ports

with that 2500.1 and a 9515 play around with a few different boxes...

I know I have seen a 9515 with a lil past 3k after box rise and he popped a 151...

also box size... what size ya got?

i have a nissan xterra.

i peak at around 46 hz (resonant freq.)

i have played with alot of ports lol

like you cant imagine ive tryed 4" ports 6" ports and 1 8" port

didnt see much improvement

where i did see improvement is when i started makin slot ported boxes with as much port area as i could throw at it, my problem is knowing where to tune its just a pain in a$$ not havin a TL

here is my current design the specifications of this box will be as follows:

8 cubes net

tuned to 40 hz

165 inches of port area

corners will be 45degs (taken into account so 8 net is correct)

also the box will be resined

lets see some input guys took me a bit to draw up these plans.....

the one with the sub cut out is the top view and the port view is the front view.

suggestions are welcomed!

you see i was thinking the same thing, but after alot of research into previous posts on termpro i found that almost everytime the 9515s were mentioned with spl they reccomended boxes with net cubes of 7-10, also most of them reccomended cone area = to port area, also i took into account my resonant frequency i peak at 46 hz so decided 6 hz below would do me some justice.

Apparently 9515s like big boxes with a big port. some say its an efficient box for the subwoofer, they also thru out numbers that surprised me so i had to throw this idea out.

also whats that paint your talkin about whats it do?
