building a sub with a type X motor

well ive googled and searched this ish and cant come up with much. i want to pick up a type X motor on the cheap and see if i can build it up with a 10" basket and softparts. they supposedly could fit an 8 layer coil in the gaps so i wouldnt mind building a little 10 with it. anybody know about it?

The Alpine Type-X woofer features dual 6-layer voice coils which utilize 220°C high-temperature wire with Inner/Outer Winding on a Twin-Wall aluminum former.

What is the ID and OD of the gap ?

already been done, it uses a weird coil. Jamie (Jrob) has one done by a guy on caco.

According to the user manual it uses 6 layers of aluminum wire with a 50mm wind width on a 3.1" ID former. If you need a coil I can probably find you something that will work.
