Building a sub for a friend.

Hi, not entirely sure where to post this, but since this is mostly about the subs, I figured here would be the best place to post it:

I'm helping a friend with his car audio. He wants a subwoofer and amp. His goals are to be able to play really loud, like outside the car aswell, and ofcourse good soundquality. He has a somewhat limited amount to spend on this, so highpowered amps aren't really an option.

Now, I've been looking at some alternatives, and I'd like to hear what you think of it, and which would be best. Oh, it's for a BMW 3xx series, 1990 model or something ("regular version", not with loads of space in the back, don't know what the word is in english, sorry).

Since he already has pioneer 6x9 loudspeakers and a pioneer HU, I've been looking at the TS-W121SPL.

The other driver I've been looking at is the Rockford Fosgate P212S4 Punch HE series driver.

Both these drivers are 12" and cost the same over here. I thought two drivers would be the best option, because of larger displacement due to higher surface area and less powercompression and distorition. However, getting enough power is a bit of a problem. The two amp's that I've been looking at are an Blaupunkt GT-450 (as I've mentioned in an earlier post, but not realated to this system) and an Ultimate T3-2700.

Specs:

Ultimate T3-2700:

2x200w rms @ 4 ohm

2x300w rms @ 2 ohm

Blaupunkt GT-450 (cheaper):

2x160w rms @ 4 ohm

Pioneer: http://www.pioneer-eur.com/eur/download.jsp?dir=/images/products/carspeakers/pioneer&filename=1093612417013121.gif&method=attachment

RockfordFosgate: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/ez2rockford/ModelInfo/ModelInfo.asp?ItemKey=10063589&CategoryDesc=Punch%20Subwoofers

------

Also, suggestions of what alignment to use (sealed, ported) would be appriciated. I noticed the pioneer sub seems to be sealed only, while the RF punch has both sealed and ported alignments as reccomended.

One requirement of his is to be able to play louder than this guy with two DreamTM 12" subs. I don't have the specs, but but two DeamTM subs cost less than one of the above mentioned subs, and SQ is pretty low. I also think they are sealed, and not ported. However, the guy with the DreamTM subs said the calcs done at the shop estimated 132 dB max output (incar?), which seems pretty loud to me. What parts do you reccomend of the ones I mentioned?

Thanks for all help =)
