Wood glue is better, It makes a chemical bond with mdf, Liquid nails=crap

Not just mdf I should add all woods. Wood glue is superior.

i use gorilla glue. but wear some gloves when u use it kuz that stuff doesnt like to come off ur hands

screws NO MORE than every 4 inches
closer together than that and your likely to split the wood.

There was a discussion about this before. The glue is actually doing more work than screws are. I can also tell you from experience ripping a 3/4 MDF box apart myself that the MDF will give out before Liquid Nails will. I'm sure a chemical bond is great, but if you're going to tell me that LN alone won't do it, I won't believe you.

i have a question. You will need 2 different kinds of glue to seal the box correct? One is between the woods, and the silicon is for the outside right (outside meaning Silicon should be at the corner of the L)?

This is sort of correct...

You glue all your pieces together, as well as screw or nail (optional). Thats your first kind of glue. (Wood glue).

Then once the box is mostly constructed, you can 'seal' it with silicone. Usually I try to put the top on last, so I can silicone the INSIDE of the seems. It's alot less messy that way. So on the inside of the L silicone.

Or you could just get a small container of resin and resin the inside of your box and it is sealed air tight

I dont know if this is O/T.... but it seems to fit.

My jigsaw is screwy and doesnt cut straight, so I have a hard time cutting the mounting hole....... does anyone know of a store that will cut a nice circle for me? I need it to make a mounting ring for when I fiberglass.... dont want it to be messy so I want it done right. (tried lowes, home depot, neither would do it)

u can use a router if you got 1, u can get a perfect circle with taht.
