Building a sound system, what do I need?

Okay so I've decided to go with a Sundown SAX-1200. While I'm waiting to order it/to receive it I think I want to get started on the big 3 wiring thingy. I have a few questions about it though, what exactly do I need to get (wiring, terminals, tools, etc.), where's the best place to go to get it all, and where can. I find out exactly how to do all this wiring ****?
Refer to my two posts above and the links in the first post.

Yeah your almost 3hrs away. If you were a little closer I'd come help you out. But that's a drive right there.
Ah ****, thanks anyways. If I can't find someone else closer maybe I can drive out to you? We'll see once I get everything together and see if I can do it on my own.

I live in.ukiah bro. If your willing to drive up here I'll more than happily help you out. You bring everything we can get it knocked out.
I actually just talked to one of my team mates and he actually said he would be able to help me. He's a mechanic for audi/vw so I trust him. He said installling the subs/box/amp/big 3 should take roughly 3 hours, is this true? Also, if you're anywhere near rohnert park then that'd be great if you could come out and help as well since that's where he lives but if not it's cool.

Good call Elan.

And seriously, the Big 3 is so easy, you'll understand once you've done it. It's easier than hanging a picture. junst unscrew the proper screw, put the new terminal around the screw, and screw it back on. Just spend some time reading around here, looking at build logs, reading on common terms, and you'll piece it together if you're any smart or mechanically inclined. I've only been doing this for about 5 months and have already come leaps and bounds. But all of this only applies if you have any interest in this car audio stuff and like working with things and learning stuff. If not, you might just be better off having a shop do the install. Personally I'd be happy to help you, but I'm on the other end of the state. I know we've got several forum members in the Bay Area though, I'm sure you could ask one to help you out:)

Thanks! Sounds good. What would a good wiring kit be to install my subs/amp?
