there's nothing wrong with building a 1 name brand system. i would probably use alpine, and the type x's.

i would go with eclipse or pioneer eclipse for head unit and sub woofer purposes or pioneer for the highs the 5 way 6 by 9's are the shit i personaaly have both the eclipse head unit and sub with pioneer 6 by 9's and 61/2's the highs sound great but the sub isnt hooked up yet its a 15 ti pro.

i also wouldn't do a one-brand system

i have instelled many systems but i have never installed a one brand system

that why i want to try it out.

Dude, obviously you just want us to pat you on the back and say, "Yes ALPINE2005, Alpine would be the best one brand system". However, that doesn't say much.

The system would **** versus any other multi-brand system.

I attempted to do a one brand system but its more difficult than you think. going with all the name bands like alpine and pioneer doesnt give you the best results for your money. The best way to do the "matching" system IMO is to match the amps. Then try to use the same subs and speakers. Then you have to get a HU.

I used Diamond Audio D5 amps, RE speakers, and an Alpine HU. I think that it looks pretty sharp, in my little setup.
