Building a new box. JL Audio 15w3's

Hey guys

I'm building a new box for my two JL 15w3s. Previous box was just about 10 cubes after driver and port displacement and tuned to ~33hz. I want something considerably smaller this time around.

I was thinking 7 cubic feet of internal volume after driver and port displacement. Think it could happen?

My MAX box dimensions (could probably fit bigger, but I cut off a bit on each to ensure it will fit):

(3/4" MDF wood)

HEIGHT: 22 inches

WIDTH: 37 inches

DEPTH: 21 inches

Single Driver Displacement: .14cf (two drivers)

The box will be a shared chamber, slot ported box. I would like to try and maintain SQ, so I would assume something tuned low would be best... I'm considering all opinions though!

Any box builders out there that would like to help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated! If I'm missing anything, please let me know.

Thanks for reading,

Michael

Me and a buddy of mine built the box originally mentioned. Surprisingly fit in my car and had it in there for about a year. I just felt like it was too large, and is why I'm going for the 7cf internal volume as per JL recommendation.

jmanpc: I missed the link that you wanted me to goto and enter those values. let me know which site it is and I'll be sure to check it out!

Thanks for the ridiculously prompt responses fellas.

Michael
