building a custom console

what materials would i need to build a console..some people telling me i need MDF, ut i dont want it thick..it just needs to hold a dvd player and an epic 150..whats the thinnest material i need to use for the fiberglass to stick to?

I think MDF is still easier to work with... and you can get it in many different thickness...

you might want to get the 9mm MDF or soemthing? Or how about particleboard? It's not gonna take a lot of pressure like a sub box, so you shouldn't have a problem there...

hardboard would probably be the best -- comes as thin as 1/8".....I have used it to build the basic frame for fiberglass jobs so i know it sticks.
