building a areo port box but need help

Ok I am building a new box with a single 6" areo port.

The sub is a 12" mt.

The box will be 3 cubes after sub and port displacement.

Now the port has to be 17.35" correct? It will be tuned to 35hz.

Now I can not figure out how to find out what the displacement of the 6"areo that is 17.35" long.

Can someone please help me out here.?

Is there a online calculator?

http://www.psp-inc.com they don't sell the 6in ports, but you can use the calculator

edit, i didn't read the post right... are you just asking the displacement of the port? pi*r^2 times the length should do it.

I **** at math lol well I will see if i can figure it out.

Ok is this right

6" aero x 17.35" long = displacement of 0.28 cubic feet.

If not I will try again.

l*pi*r^2

(length)*(pi)*(radius)^2

(17.35)*(3.14)*(6/2)^2

= 490.56 in^3 / 1728 [in^3/ft^3]

= 0.284 ft^3

Look right to me!

umm. isnt radius, half the diameter? meaning on a 6" diameter aero port...the radius would be 3"...

yeah just use the (pi R^2) x L formula to find the volume of the port. don't wory about the little extra due to the flared ends...won't account for much worth figuring.
