building 1st box

silicon, its flexibility works well to handle the pounding resonance. just run a bead along the seam and seal it with your finger. you know the drill. if you have a caulking gun just get a tube of silicon. if not get the squeezable silicon. you can find either at your local hardware store.

i also like to make a little bead of silicon around the subwoofer hole to form a nice seal. but you must let the silicon dry first.

yup...silicone does the trick nicely. My boxes are usually air tight but I throw a bit of silicone in there anyway.
