Buildhouse Question

I agree
Probably doesn't include the shipping either. How much do you think it'd cost to ship 4000 50 lb subs?
I don't know what you're thinking the price would be to ship, but I imagine it's fairly cheap per unit when bought in that amount of bulk. It definitely will add a significant portion to the price, but considering PE sells the motors alone for 500...

I believe these are the exact drivers being manufactured for Thilo. Or were, anyway.
I mean look at the price on that 5100 Pro, $4-$8 per driver? Well worth ordering the minimum of 4000 or whatever to get that steep discount. They would eventually all sell over time.
You are virtually guaranteed to get robbed if you think you're getting 5100 NRT woofers for even 80$ a pop. I'm quite suspicious about TC9 type subs for 30$ as well. Similar sub would cost close to 200$ to manufacture in USA with American made parts. I know Chinese slaves work cheap but that just seems impossible.

Freight shipping (like a shipping container on a boat) is pretty cheap. I know of a place in Boston that ships small freight packages to Eastern Europe for about a buck a pound, so figure a full shipping container would be a break from there even. Shipping by sea is very cost effective if you don't mind the wait.

I hear ya.
But man, unless they're stealing photos and supplying different drivers, thems gotta be it.

Anyway, I don't have the capital to make a move like that. Just found it interesting. On a side note, I heard TC was switching buildhouses. That's rumor but seems to correlate with the PE clearance effort.

My business partner (Zhang Jun) lives in Dalian, China. He helps me with all of my supplies through Ali. I always get samples before purchases. I'm going to message him and have him get into contact with the seller, it'll probably be a long while before I have anything in hand but I'll be getting a few samples and report back. Sometimes I get lucky with customs, sometimes they hold everything up.

Sweet. Would be worth the wait just to satisfy the curiosity. Then if you had no need for it, you could always sell it.
To me.

For teh cheapz.

See about getting half a dozen each of those TC subs. You could double your money in a jiffy if they actually deliver.

It's obvious those are TC subs pictured and quoted in specs, but prices are simply too good to be true. There's just no way there's THAT much profit margin in that tier subwoofer. You think if Thilo was getting TC2000's built for 35$ he'd have gone bankrupt?

My answer is yes. But hear me out. My conspiracy theory is that he owed so much money to that pissed off Chinese Kevin magnet supplier that he agreed to do a massive production run with pissed off Chinese Kevin's cousin, who runs the buildhouse, in an effort to pay him off by allowing pissed off Chinese Kevin to have 75% of all sales. Thilo is still broke?
Magnet Vendor + Buildhouse + LMS - Thilo = profit?
