Build a System

A few years ago everyone on this forum taught me what i needed to know to put in a descent sounding system in my jeep cherokee. My limit was 600 bucks and eventually with the help of you guys i bought:

Alpine 9805 HU

US ACOUSTICS 4085 4 ch AMP

INFINITY REf 5.25 COMP speakers in front

Alpine Speakers in back (non amped)

Kicker comp 12" SUB.

I have gotten many people saying it sounds darn good for the amount of money i put into it- and i agree it suits my needs perfectly and sounds wonderful to me.

My brother recently aquired a mercury couagr 95 and wants to change out its stock crap. His budget is 450$ and basically wants a descent system not to rock the town but to replace his ugly retarded system. I was thinking along the lines of getting him either a HU , 4 really good 3 ways or getting him a HU , amp a set of comps for the front and cheap spks in the back.

Anyway basically i am looking for suggestion regarding what setup to use and products. Like i said at the time i purchased for me. i bought what was descent at the time- unfortunately some of these items seem to be discontinued ex HU, AMP.

So i am open to ideas- and as usual thx

Since you guys dont feel like reponding- i am thinking of just getting him a decent clarion/ panasonic/pioneer heedunit and 2 front components and two 2/3 way speakers for the back. To power the front comp. i would need a budget 2 ch amp what do you guys think ? I am looking at the Alpine SPS-571A or the Kicker K57.2. for the front comps ???
