Budget subwoofer, which one/suggest

Honestly, That sub shouldn't do too bad. My mom has the MOFO 12 (almost identical to the Fubar) in her car on a American Legacy amp (380RMS/2000Peek) in a 2.4cube ported box and its doing about 140db

I tried to talk my Mom into getting subs... she said "I only drive two blocks to the bus each day. Why the hell would I want WOOFERS? Not to mention, I don't listen to that shit you listen to anyway."

I tried to explain it's the whole sound experience and she just isn't buying it.

And I love my JBL GTO's.

They're small, and they don't hit WTFHARD, but I think they sound amazing, and they're underrated for sure. They don't even wince at 300W, it sounds like they want more (They're rated at 250, so 300 isn't too much over).

A year after I installed them, I took them out to look at them, and they look brand new. No sign of wear anywhere... I only paid $40 a piece. I don't know how much they retail for, though.

A couple months back I bought a NEW pair of Concept EX-12's. They're from 02-03 I believe. Built in America (you won't find that very often), but the seller was less than forthcoming on the specs and as it turns out they're not going to work in my set up. I sold one a couple weeks ago locally to someone in a similar situation as you. I went ahead and installed the other one in temporarily - mainly out of curiousity.

Anyway - it's a DVC 6, you could wire it for 3 ohms on your m650 for 500w.

I THINK it was $150-200 new. I would like to get $75 shipped.

Obviously, I'm trying to sell it, but I would say with all honesty I think the Concept is a good step, maybe two better than that Power Acoustik. This sub would compare to a JLw3 or an Alpine type R. Might be just what you're looking for.
