While we are dicussing SQ subs, why not seperate this into "best SQ sub...period", and "best SQ sub between $100-$200".

I gotta 15" Diamond M3, great SQ and in 3 cubes @ 37hz and still gets mildly loud. It was nice sealed but ported it has much better output and still sounds great.

While were on the subject, what does everyone think of the Phoenix Gold RSd subs? I'm looking to get two 12's, and I can get two of them for about $160 shipped.

For what you want to do, with a $300 budget, my suggestion would be to grab that Hifonics BX1000D in the FS forum and then pick up a 10" AA Arsenal. You'd be right there at your budget and if you're wanting good sound with the ability to get loud when need be, I simply don't think you will find a better sub/amp combo in your budget.

*Oops, I just saw that he's looking for a 12 or 15. I don't know why I was thinking a 10. Well, he could go with a 12" Arsenal, but he'd have to bump his budget up by about $50. If he opts to go with an Assassin, the biggest they make is a 12". He's not open to a pair of 10s?

i suppose i can persuade him to get whatever, but right now im looking mainly at the rsd. im curious to see how it sounds, itll be loud and should have good sq in a box allowing for it. and its different too.

Talk to memeber Towncar. He's probably sampled the RSD's a few times.

alright. i think im going to go with an rsd 12 dual4 ohm and run it at 2 ohms. im thinking of the poweracoustik 1000db for an amp. its rated at 800@2 ohms, but im guessing its overrated, so i think itll be good.

I looked at Sonicelectronix too, but all their RSd stuff(10s,12s,S4s, and D4s) are on backorder. CDS is higher on the list of Internet retailers on the CA.com homepage if that helps at all. If you want to get the stuff now, I'd go with CDS, as there is no way of telling when SE will get the RSds back in stock.
