Budget SPL Setup

I am thinking about doing a little budget build for fun. I currently have 2 DC lvl 4 10s, with XL soft parts and such. I am running them on an AB PH4000MD. They sound really nice in a 2.3ft^3 box tuned to 33Hz. They smash the low notes, and roll off pretty smoothly into the mid 50s. My problem is that I need more power, like double my current amount. This is going to necessitate a new alt, another battery, and more wiring. This is going to take some time to do right, and with work picking up, I won't have a whole lot of time. I want to stick something in there that will give me a good amount of bass, and get decently loud on only 750-1000 watts RMS. Something my current electrical setup can handle. I have a big 3 kit on the way, AGM under the hood, 1/0 CCA Sky High run from the battery to a distribution block in the trunk, and stock 130A alternator.

With that in mind, I want to spend as little as possible on the subs and amplifier. I was thinking possibly four cheap 8" subs(by cheap I mean less than $50). I don't really want to spend more than $200 on whatever subs I buy. I can get a Sundown SAX-1200 pretty cheap, so I may do that.

Anyhow, I could use some suggestions as to how best make this work. Also the box has to be rather small. 19x30x13 is what I have to work with.

Also, note that I am not aiming for ridiculously high db numbers. Just something loud for what it is, on music.

just redo your box and tune a bit higher and switch out the amp. Your not gonna get much louder without more cone area/space and power into the equation. Might also want to look into deadening if you haven't already done so.

I'd start with a new box. Smaller box with a larger port tuned higher. Viola, better numbers on the meter.Keep the lvl4s and the 2000 watt amplifier.
I am keeping those. The only problem with that setup, is that I need to upgrade my electrical. I will end up putting the DCs back in there. I'm not looking for numbers with those. I like how they play now, they just need some more power. I just want to build something fun that can get pretty loud on only ~1k. That way I'm not straining my electrical system and messing up my amps.

I am going to be redoing that exact thing. My problem is my electrical. I need a bigger alternator, more batteries, and more wire. I just want a cheap temporary fix, until I can get around to doing all of that.

Nobody seems to read the whole thing. He wants something cheap for now until he upgrades his electrical. Still say soundqubed
How is soundqubed entry level 10s better then the 2 dc level 4s he has? Redoing the enclosure is cheaper then buying new subs. The left over money should be used on deadening.

Guys, I'm not looking to upgrade from the setup I have now. I'm looking for a cheap temporary setup that gets loud on music, that is all. I will redo my box when I upgrade my electrical and figure out what kind of amp I want. For now, though, I just want to see how loud I can get for ~$250.

That's what I tried to tell them. Lol

Current set up works, put the $200 towards better electrical...
^^^This^^^

But of coarse that's not what he wants. He wants to spend money on his amp and subs to step down in numbers for this SPL build.

Turn the gain down on the amp = Budget SPL setup that's not a strain on the electrical. I genius.

The reason I want to do what I originally had in mind is because I am selling my AB amp, want more box building experience, and I won't have time to complete all of the required electrical upgrades. I'm working a lot, plus I'm moving. I don't even know what kind of amp I want to run, and therefore don't know what I'll have to do as far as electrical upgrades.
