I mean... To be fair Ed Rice was using a stock stereo when he won nationals with budget ppi gear.

Of course he has processing. My point is the internal DAC isn't THAT bad and with the right passives you can get great sound with a stock stereo too.

I realize you said dsp or stereo now. I had read it wrong and thought you sad get a dsp AND lose the stereo.

Yeah lol stock and dsp is fine because dsp works magic like that. I mainly trash the stock if used by itself without any other processing, just speaker replacements and amps.
