budget comps

please recommend me a set of comps taht will keep up with an hdc312 off 2000 watts. i dont want to spend more than 200 shipped. is this possible?

The RSD comps have harsh tweeters and they burn out fast.

I have a set of Excelon Kenwood XR-S17P's...for a budget componet set they can't be beat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I've ran Boston Pro's...old school MB Quarts....and top of the line Premiers and these have to be some of the best for a little under $200

Never used or heard those Excelons, i had heard the slim mount Excelons years ago and was not impressed and never went back.

I wouldn't say the RSD's tweeter is harsh, but I have mine off-axis. However, with some decent power, I find the woofer to be harsh in the mid-range on some music. I think if you send them their rated power, they should be fine but may not get as loud as you desire.

Go with the ID set. =)

I have owned the RSD and currently run the ID's, the ID's kill the RSD comps in every way, shape and form.

Yeah, I gotta stop buying budget speakers and just get a $200 set whenever I can afford one. Might be a while, lol.

Diamond audio hex s600s. $199 at onlinecarstereo. They can't be beat at that price. They're fantastic speaker. I used to have a set and loved them.
