Nice thanks a lot, I appreciate the input. I live a couple miles from a CarQuest but like 40 mins away from a Deka retailer..so i might just go with the NGT ExtremeSame batt, different sticker, that is all
how do you hold the batt down?i have a 06 civic as well and i got an exide orbital. great batt and very strong. runs my kicker zx1500.1 pretty nice. its a group 34. just take out the batt tray and you can squeeze it in there.
i bent the tabs at the base of the batt tray so that the supports could be wide enough to fit around the new batt. i used the same prongs or supports or whatever you call them and then had some garage door metal material that i cut and already had holes in it so just bolted it down. the top brace from the stock batt is not wide enough to use.how do you hold the batt down?
and yea Exide Orbital is good too, have one sitting across the room from me right now. I think he wants to match a bigger batt for the back later on and i dont think they have a large batt like a G31

Cool, good to know. I figured I was going to have to do some modification being that the oem battery I have is just a tiny little thing.i bent the tabs at the base of the batt tray so that the supports could be wide enough to fit around the new batt. i used the same prongs or supports or whatever you call them and then had some garage door metal material that i cut and already had holes in it so just bolted it down. the top brace from the stock batt is not wide enough to use.
Ya I think I got my mind set on the NGT Extreme but I'm going to call the Deka retailer and see how much they charge then head on over to my local Carquesthow do you hold the batt down?

ya just rip out all the plastic batt tray stuff and look at it for a second and you will figure it out. its not very complicated and very easy to do.Cool, good to know. I figured I was going to have to do some modification being that the oem battery I have is just a tiny little thing.
how much dimming do you get vs your stock battery?i have a 06 civic as well and i got an exide orbital. great batt and very strong. runs my kicker zx1500.1 pretty nice. its a group 34. just take out the batt tray and you can squeeze it in there.
the stock batt is nothing. lights dimmed when i was rolling down my windows. but now i get little dimming with my new batt. voltage is fine at full tilt with lights off. never goes much below 12 volts. i will be doing the big three soon as well so that should help as well.how much dimming do you get vs your stock battery?
Ok cool, ya I have the big 3 done and have 0 gauge wiring throughout the whole entire car so I'm hoping this will get me by til I add a G31 battery in the trunk.the stock batt is nothing. lights dimmed when i was rolling down my windows. but now i get little dimming with my new batt. voltage is fine at full tilt with lights off. never goes much below 12 volts. i will be doing the big three soon as well so that should help as well.
