Budget 6.5" components $100/pair??

What do ya'll suggest for 2 pair of decent component speakers for my 97 maxima? Max price of $100/pair. I like JBL for home, but not sure how they are for vehicles. I was planning on getting an amp to hook up to them at a later date also.

I noticed a post with a similar title, but I didnt want to hijack it asking about JBL's. I actually did a search for JBL in the this section with no luck. Do JBL car speakers just ****? Is there a better bang for buck brand? Consider me a newb when It comes to brands other than the typical Kenwood, Sony, JVC, JBL, Infinity, etc.

I forgot to mention I do have a 300W kenwood amp and kenwood 8" sub in the trunk.

I ran the PG RSD for quite a while, very good comps for the money, but the tweeter left alot to be desired, replaced them with the Pioneer TS-D720C and it was a night and day difference, the Pioneer were far superior IMO.

Here is a vid of the Pioneers on about 100w or so in the doors of my Crown Vic, (no deadning)

I just put the opti6.1 (the 6c are over $100) in my car this last weekend. So far they sound pretty good, and will get loud (I've got a MB DSC450 bridged for 200 a side to them). However, the woofer hasn't broken in yet so it's hard to judge the midbass, and I'm not done tuning yet. So far the tweeters (silk dome) seem very detailed, but maybe on the harsh side. With my stock HU I can't really eq exactly how I'd like.

Overall, the quality seems very good (cast basket, etc) for $76 shipped. In another week or so I hope to have a better impression of the sound.
