I designed and built this box, it was for 2 either 18" AB HD's or 2 SQ HDC3's, big azz box and the owner had no idea what kind loudness situation he just got himself into:

For the record, I **** at carpeting, so I did NOT carpet or paint these boxes, just assembled them.

A 4 Q Power Deluxe 12's box in a friend's 2 door blazer. I'm pretty sure he was in the mid 140's with this box. That may or may not be 21 year old me in the front seat there:

I designed the sub boxes he's using, they're quite complicated for what they are. He's doing some great looking work in there with the rest of his system as well!

I thought about something the other day when I took my rear deck sub out since it was dry rotted and rattling, and to leave the hole for my sub sound waves to come into the car. Would a 4th order with a rear deck blow through work? It’d have to be an aero port coming up through the factory sub hole, but the sound waves would bounce off the rear glass and throughout the car... so I presume.

Yes. Idk if a 4th would work with your icon or not, I'd have to check. Would you ever want to cut any metal out for a square port? I've done 4th orders firing through the rear deck before.

Yeah your sub will work in a 4th.

It'll probably work really well in a 4th, actually. You can hit stupid lows in a 4th order bandpass if that's what you want.

. I’d probably need to downsize to a 12 so the box wouldn’t take up my entire trunk, but I’ll definitely consider it.
