Doing tapered still ports or lines is a lot of math. I could take time to learn hornsrep I guess, but I'd almost rather create my own formulas for it. Nobody ever wants a rear loaded horn, so I haven't ever been encouraged to actually learn how to do them well. I'm not really the biggest fan of tapered t-lines, but in some situations, they have their uses.

Ok. Buck is continuing to push the limits of my knowledge. I'm going all in, trying to do the best, complicated enclosures I can. I really love experimenting, I'm branching out my skills, combining them, trying to go harder than ever. Has a mild kerf port, too.

So this box is a Hybrid Sealed / Mildly Tapered T-line for 2 Pioneer Shallow Mount 12's (TS-SW30024). These woofers are actually more like 12.5's or 13's, the have quite a large Sd for a 12".

Those little guys are beefy. That's a good sized motor. If you're feeling lucky, you could put them in a cube per.

8's can be very difficult to design because of port area reasons. Some 8's require way more port area than you'd think. Like WAY more port area than you'd think. I can't tell you the best port area bc I'm not designing it. If you look hard, you can find the recommended box volume for these 8's. It's hard to find, you have to know what other company uses the same woofer design as AB. I already gave you that hint.
