BTL Fully Loaded Owners in need of actual T/S Parameters!!!

Parameters on the website are not wrong they are listed for the standard 2 slug motors...We haven't had time to get the fully loaded stuff up on the website...all BTL subs..do not model correct in winisd or any other program for that matter...for the 18 it says like 1.9 cubic foot tuned to 69hz for a flat response...Quite honestly they model like ****.

Which is why the t/s parameters are not posted...we just say put them in this box and tune it to this...and leave it at that. If we say what it will sound good at or give you the preformance that your looking for, you shouldn't absolutely have to have the parameters.

And apparently there are some issues with email volume...i think alot of the problem is that Scott is simply not getting the emails to reply to them....we're having some minor technical difficulties with that...we're looking into it. All of them have been answered and the inbox was empty as of yesterday...

Emails are not being overlooked, trust me..if scott doesn't get it, it cant be replied to.

Patience is a virtue.

For those who cant live without numbers and have to know the t/s parameters they will be posted on SSA soon, if its not soon enough for you i apologize...there's nothing more that can be done. Go with the enclosures that are reccomended, they are reccomended for a reason, regardless of what the graphs say.

Thank you for the response. So if we wanted to design an enclosure for our BTL we need to use the one on the site for now? Until u guys release the fully loaded one?

Thanks for the response.
I don't design boxes, I don't use any programs... Robin asked for the T/S parameters for use with WinISD I believe, so I will tell him of the WinISD bug.

none of the speakers spec out right right off the top anyway. you just need to know what T/S params to put in the program for it to work correctly, and sometimes the MFG is wayyyy off.

It doesn't matter WHAT driver you pick to use in winISD... all winISD does accurately is tell you port length for a desired port area and tuning...

Hell, you could pick an 8w0 EVERYTIME you design a box for christ's sake... all picking the driver does is make the INACCURATE graph different. The graph is USELESS in real life.

I'm telling you that you don't need the parameters, your going to look at the graph and be like 'WTF' that cant be right!

It'd be real easy to bunk some parameters up of another sub and make it model like a dream...

The only thing you should use a program for is to calculate a given vent length for a given tuning....

See if you can find some t/s parameters for an MT...or see if RE just said to use it in This box...and tune it to this... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Listen with the ears, and not with the eyes.

ps. i'm using a BTL in home theatre...and i didnt model any enclosure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I concur with yours statement as well as my own.
