BTL 15 fully loaded Build

This is my build including a BTL 15 d 0.7 fully loaded in my 01 Grand Am. Powered by my SoundStream PCA 2000d. The sub actually reads 1.2 ohm so thats pretty cool.

Internal lengths

heigth = 16

depth = 17.5

width = 30

4.86 cu ft total

PORT LENGTHS

height 16

width 5

depth 18

displacement of port is .78 cu ft

port go down 12.5 , then go right 5.5

tuned @ 45 hz

Build quality looks good, but with a BTL of that size and that much power I would have done a double baffle and a bit of bracing

yeah ive been thinking of addint a brace with a cut down 2x4..with music so far it sounds good...ima test it when test tones thursday and if it sounds like its flexing im going to defiantly stick a brace in it

my cam doesnt include sound unfortunatly. might be able to get hands on the fathers cam though...ill try...

ive had 2 boxes that flexed and the sound is very audible as far as my experiences go...especially when i had my 6 tang band 8s.

Everything looks great man. Nice build. I'm waiting on my 15" BTL to get here right now. Just one question though, those measurements seem small to be 4.8 cubes. the box plans i have are 40L, 17.5H and 18W. after port and sub displacement i end up with 4.5. Is there a typo in your measurements?

pretty sure the ~5 cubic feet is gross volume, not net. I just built a box of almost identical dimensions for a 15'' Fi Q, it was 3.5 net and 5 gross volume

by the way, are you not going to use the rubber mounting gasket? It helps seal up everything where the sub mounts, and it looks nicer imo

and the measurements are correct i believe...i dont really feel like doing the math right now...

And i actaully didnt put the gasket on because i had to mount it in the car and i culdnt have it already in the baffle and its a really heavy sub...and i had to do it alone...yeah...if i can get someone to help me do it i will ...
