I have most of the items I need already, but I have a few loose ends here and there that I need help with. The following is a list of all I have already:

-Rainbow SLC265 6.5" components

-2 8" TC Sounds TC1000 subs

-Kicker ZX350.4 amp to power the components

-Kicker ZX750.1 amp to power the subs

-two custom enclosures for the subs (these guys are heavy as hell!)

-old school HU that came with the car: Pioneer DEH-4400

***I need help choosing the wire sizes, brand, and type for my setup. I know someone will bring up the question about budget so let's just say I do NOT want to spend more than $100 total on all the wiring.

I've been suggested to use 16ga wires for the speakers and 14ga wires for the subs. Are these the optimal wire sizes I need for the set up? Also, what brand should I go with? As for the amp kits, I have been suggested to use a 4ga kit for the subs and an 8ga kit for the speakers and to look at the following brands for the amp kits: stinger, rockford, raptor, or tsunami.

Please give me an idea of which brands and series type are really good along with how much I need and in what sizes. I'd also like to do the BIG 3 so, if possible, give me brand names, wire sizes, and lengths to do this as well.

In summary, help me with these items:

1)wires for the component speakers

2)wires for the subs

3)amp kit for the speakers

4)amp kit for the subs

5)wires for the Big 3

Sorry for the long post and the noobish questions, but this is my first install.

Thanks for any help.

Steven

knukonceptz.com has awesome products, good prices too... all of those sizes u listed sound fine

u may want to stay away from raptor wiring... rockford and stigner are good products tho

what i did...

1/0 from batt to 2-way fused distro block, fuse accordingly, 4g to zx750.1 and 8g to 350.4 (if thats what it calls for)

x23784 on knu wire. cant go wrong.

as for speaker. 16g will work fine as will 14g. if you feel better going with 14g then do it. i grabbed 40ft of stinger 12g from cardomain iirc, they had free shipping on it too. you may want to peep that out.

didnt see the other questions...

1/0 for the big 3 would be excellent in case you upgrade, you wont have to change that. 4g would work as well if you want to sve a few bucks but youd have to re-do it again if/when you upgrade.

Two more questions:

1) Where should I mount the distribution block? Closer to the batter or closer to the amps? I'm thinking closer to the amps to save wires, but wouldn't mounting closer to the battery provide less resistance?

2) Where should I mount the Xovers? I've read that mounting the Xovers closer to the speakers will be optimal in reducing noise. Will I have issues if I mounted the Xovers on the enclosures which will be located right behind my seats (I have a two-seater)?

Thanks guys.
